Bass Lessons

 

I have been teaching electric bass for many years in various training contexts, from amateur and pre or professional instruction to teacher training for future instructors. This experience, which is artistic, pedagogical, and institutional, allows me to offer bass lessons adapted to both beginners and musicians wishing to deepen their practice or prepare for professional training.

 

I have taught at the following institutions:

 

EJMA – School of Jazz and Contemporary Music – Lausanne

Electric bass lessons and workshops in pre-university music classes, subsidized classes, and adult programs.

 

HEMU – University of Music – Lausanne

Teaching instrumental methodology for electric bass within the Master of Pedagogy program, as well as in the CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) program for training instrumental teachers.

 

COV – Conservatory of Western Vaud – Nyon

Electric bass lessons and workshops in subsidized classes and adult programs.

 

 

Teaching Roles

 

Throughout my career, I have also held various responsibilities within these institutions :

• Dean of the Bass, Double Bass, Drums, and Workshops Department at EJMA - Lausanne

• Teaching Instructor for Bachelor and Master of Pedagogy bass students at HEMU - Lausanne

• Teaching Instructor for Bachelor and Master of Pedagogy bass students at HKB - Bern

• Thesis Supervisor for Master of Pedagogy projects at HEMU - Lausanne

• Expert for entrance exams and competitions, accompanist for exams, substitute teacher in various schools and conservatories

Group Coaching

 

Group coaching also plays a significant role in my work. My experience as a performing and studio musician has allowed me to work with groups and artists of varying levels and styles. I offer a professional approach that is demanding, artistic, and supportive, based on listening, adapting to each group's specific objectives.

Curricula for Music Schools and Conservatories Subsidized by the FEM

 

From the outset, I was responsible for designing, developing, and structuring the programs and curricula dedicated to teaching electric bass within the institutions under the auspices of the FEM. I was thus directly involved in the creation of this educational content and the establishment of a teaching framework adapted to the practice and training of bass players.

 

The Foundation for Music Education (FEM) is the body responsible for implementing, funding, and organizing music education in the canton of Vaud.

Music education is organized according to study plans for each instrumental and theoretical discipline, and into study cycles leading to a certificate of completion of non-professional music studies.

The Foundation determines the study programs, the conditions and procedures for progressing from one study cycle to the next, and the conditions and procedures for obtaining the Certificate of Completion.
